Use AOA to Train Your Staff
Who couldn’t use more training? Many practice managers want to provide their staff with new resources but don’t know where to start. This is where The Association of Otolaryngology Administrators comes in.
The AOA offers a series of educational training sessions geared toward practice management. These exercises can be completed in the convenience of your own office. A new webinar is posted every few weeks on a variety of topics.
While each webinar is broadcast live, we understand that our members have busy schedules that may prevent them from attending every session. This is why each one is recorded. The pre-recorded training, along with the Q&A session from the live broadcast, will be available to watch at your convenience.
For most practices, we recommend a 2017 subscription, which will contain approximately 25 webinars. This subscription provides you with access to every live and pre-recorded webinar released in 2017 for $349.00 (member) or $399.00 (non-member). Access to all 50 webinars offered in 2016 can be purchased for $499 (member) or $599 (non-member). For $599 (member) or $699 (non-member) you can purchase all 2016 and 2017 webinars.
Most webinars meet the criteria set by the AOA to offer Continuing Education Units (CEUs). One CEU is provided for each hour of programming.

In addition to the webinars, we also have AOA University. AOA University is a collection of self-paced learning modules available on a variety of topics. These can be used to train new additions to your practice or act as simple refresher courses for your current employees.

We have compiled a list of suggested training bundles for everyone from front office staff to new managers. The list can be found on our website at www.aoanow.org/AOAU.
The process is simple. The modules are presented using PowerPoint Slides with a narrator to walk the student through the content. At the end of the module there is a post-test. Each lesson takes about 20 minutes. A certificate will be awarded after the module and post-test are successfully completed.
Modules are available for purchase in a variety of pricing brackets:
- Single Module – $149 (member), $299 (non-member)
- 5 Modules – $399 (member only)
- 10 Modules – $699 (member only)
- All 18 Modules – $1050 (member only)
Once the module is purchased it can be played an unlimited number of times. If a major update is needed to the module’s content, such as a change in the data, you will be asked to purchase the new lesson.
