Last week we shared some strategies for creating a\nmarketing plan for your health care practice. We discussed two important\ncomponents of a successful plan\u2014email marketing and content marketing.   • Social Media Marketing. <\/strong>Social media\u2019s explosive popularity makes\nit a crucial piece in your health care marketing puzzle. Its massive user base\nand emphasis on engagement opens up new opportunities for health care and\nenables practices to build connections with patients. Consider this: research\nshows that 70 to 75 percent of U.S. consumers turn to the internet for health\ncare advice before booking an appointment with a provider. Many rely on social\nmedia in order to get a \u201csneak peek\u201d at a hospital or doctor; these first\nimpressions can mean the difference between scheduled appointments (and\nincreased revenue) or patients deciding to go elsewhere. Another key benefit of\nsocial media marketing is the opportunity for engagement. By interacting with\npatients and followers, your organization will help eliminate barriers to care\nthrough communication and will be primed for word-of-mouth referrals.<\/li>

Mobile marketing will also help position your practice take advantage\nof B2B opportunities, as well. You could team with a manufacturer to share\nhealth care product videos and other information that will help people engage\nwith your business.
