The healthcare\nindustry is one of the last holdouts\u2014but clinging to this artifact from the\npast isn\u2019t only inefficient; it puts patient safety at risk. Adopting a\ncloud-based fax system could help eliminate many of these concerns.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Benefits Include Improved Efficiency &amp; Safety<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s estimated that 75 percent of all medical communications\noccur over fax machines. While physicians continue to rely on what most of the\nworld considers antiquated technology, doing so can hurt the workflow process\u2014and\nsubjects patient privacy data to unnecessary risk.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maintaining the hardware and software needed to support fax\nequipment is costly, and practice staff spend precious time retrieving and\nsending documents and shredding those that contain sensitive health\ninformation.
